How to find people hiring for the problem you solve on X

When a company posts a job for the exact problem your product handles, they've just told you two things: the problem is real enough to spend on, and they're about to solve it with headcount instead of a tool. That's your opening.

Why it means they're buying

A job post is a budgeted, prioritized problem. Often a tool does most of what they're trying to hire for, faster and cheaper. Reaching them while the req is open is reaching them at the exact moment of the decision.

How to find them on X

These searches surface the signal. Save the ones that work for your market and run them daily, the good ones go stale fast.

  • "hiring" [role that does your job] "DM me"hiring posts open to DMs
  • "looking for someone to" [the task you automate]the task, described
  • "we're hiring a" [role] -filter:linksthe founder's own post, not a job board

What to look for

Whether your product genuinely replaces or shrinks the role they're hiring for. Overclaiming here reads as insulting, so be honest about what you actually cover.

How to reach out

Respect the hire, offer the shortcut. "saw you're hiring for [the task]. a lot of that is what we automate, might buy you time before the seat's filled or take some off their plate after. happy to show you." Additive, not "don't hire anyone."

Doing it automatically

Athra catches hiring posts for the roles that map to your product and flags the ones the founder wrote themselves, which reply far more than a reposted job board link.
