Signals / weighing two rivals
How to find people comparing two of your rivals on X
When someone posts "X vs Y, which one?" and you're not on the list, you're still looking at a buyer deep in evaluation who just hasn't heard of you yet. They've done the hard part, which is deciding to buy something in your category.
Why it means they're buying
A comparison post means the person is at the bottom of the funnel and actively deciding. Getting mentioned as the third option they didn't know about, with a clear reason why, is often enough to get into the evaluation.
How to find them on X
These searches surface the signal. Save the ones that work for your market and run them daily, the good ones go stale fast.

What to look for
What they say they care about in the thread. Price, a specific feature, ease of setup. That's the axis you compete on when you introduce yourself.
How to reach out
Don't trash the two they named. Add yourself as the option built for the thing they said matters. "both are solid. if [the thing they care about] is the priority, worth looking at [you], since that's specifically what we built for."
Doing it automatically
Athra catches comparison posts about your rivals even when your name is nowhere in them, and flags the axis the person cares about, so you enter the conversation with the right pitch.
